Telling Our Enemies Our Plans...

Someone PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE explain to me WHY do we have to go on National TV, every single time, and tell everyone, including our enemies, just exactly what our strategies are? How many troops are going in, when and where, with a deadline to get them out, etc, etc, etc. Why don't we just hand the Taliban/AlQaeda/Iran some nukes and say "go for it!"
